While Crime is not everybody’s idea of Christmas, enough readers are interested in associating one with the other for  the Christmas murder to almost constitute  a sub-genre of Crime Fiction.  From  Agatha Christie to Simenon to Anne Perry, authors of Crime Fiction worldwide have illustrated it for decades.  Internationally, publishers hoping to make a killing in the festive season tend to display  striking similarities, both in the packaging and the advertising of these Christmas stories.
